If you are a person who is not a newbie to the world of gaming, you know what The Sims enterprise represents. It marked a new achievement when it came to a social simulation game.
The basic aspect of the game was based on the concept of simulating the real world. But it did it in an accurate yet comical fashion.
Games are supposed to help us relieve us from stress. This is especially important during the times of corona.
So, what if I were to tell you that it is not your Call of Duty which relieves your stress but is the opposite. Let’s find out more about this.
Games which give you stress
It was recently found out that games such as Call of Duty are responsible for getting people riled up about things. Now, when I think about it, I think this is true to a certain extent. I mean, we have all been on those multiplayer matches when a single player always manages to kill us.
Or we all remember being stuck on a stage where the enemies are able to get the better of us. So, I feel this is true for any game which works a similar model of action and adventure. It may also be true for games which are more level-based.
Sims as a stress relief
The Sims model is better suited for taking care of our stress aspect. Comfy Sacks recently conducted a study of more than 1000 gamers to find out which titles are the best stress relievers, and which tend to do the exact opposite.
The Sims tops the list of games that are the best at relieving stress. It makes sense since it revolves around casually living out a virtual person’s life. Minecraft and Tetris were also high on the list.
But we have to mention something that games are designed in such a way that despite the model, it will also give us immense pleasure. From a more stress aspect, I suggest that you also try to play a bit of these games.
So, what do you think of this study? Let us know in the comments.
