WoW Classic takes players back all the way to 2004 when World of Warcraft became the lynchpin of the MMORPG genre. For over a decade and a half, players have been grinding for WoW Classic gold, vying to reach the highest possible level and raiding dungeons galore. One huge part of the game is the classes of the character that are used. This would define how you approach the game, so the idea is to choose one that best fits your style of play. In terms of what the best class is for playing solo, many would argue that the best to play as is the Hunter. There are a few reasons for this, so let’s take a look at why you should be choosing this class for solo play.
What is the Hunter Class?
The Hunter class is considered to be by many the best class to use in Classic WoW solo. They are able to use their pets to take out mobs, all the while still having the ability to use ranged weapons such as bows. They are a great choice for beginners to choose from due to their easy to pick up a style of play.
Why Choose the Hunter for Solo?
One of the main reasons that they are considered useful for beginners is Feign Death. This is a spell that can be used as a Hunter at level 30 and tricks enemies into ignoring you, which lasts up to six minutes. So needless to say, that can get you out of some really difficult situations on a number of occasions.
Saying that a class that is good for beginners can often discourage players who may feel that there are going to be limitations to that class when they feel that they have surpassed that beginner status. That isn’t something that applies to the Hunter class, as those who are more experienced can get to grips with the timings of weapons for maximum DPS effect. Since it’s a class that’s easy to get to grips with, you will find that it can be a useful way to play PvP too.
In all fairness, if your goal is reaching level 60, then you can reach it with any class without all that much trouble. There are classes that do it much easier, however, and that class is definitely the Hunter. Once you have gotten to grips with using this class, the practice of weaving will allow you to take out a number of enemies at once
In terms of leveling, this is where there may be a bit of a dispute in terms of speed. Some would argue that Warlocks are faster due to having a free mount. However, the Hunter offers increased running speed that far surpasses even having a free mount.
Regardless of what class you choose, the most important thing is that you are enjoying the game. There may be other classes that suit you better, but the Hunter is a great place for new and experienced players alike. Even though this class is the best for many to level up with quickly, don’t forget that there are a lot of experiences to check out beforehand. Finding WoW Classic items, fierce battles, and adventures galore are to be had on your way up to level 60.
With that in mind, the Hunter may be the best class overall for solo, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is the best class for you personally. If you do find Hunter enjoyable to play as then this is definitely the way forward to go. Just remember that there are a number of different classes to choose from throughout WoW Classic, so make sure that it is one that you can play with for a long period of time.
