Has the show got renewed officially?
The resident season 4: The series made its first appearance on 21st January 2018, the medical drama crafted by Roshan Sethi, Amy Holden Jones, Hayley Schore was so liked by the audience that is positioned on rank 41 with a decent viewership of 7.02 million. Soon afterward it got renewed for season 2 and 3 and recently in May 2020 it was again revived for season 4. Season 2 and season 3 premiered in September so it was speculated that we might see season 4 also incoming September but due to the COVID outbreak, the season 4 release is shifted indefinitely. It is speculated that season 4 can not hit the screens until 2021. Filming will be resumed when it will be safe hence fans have to wait for a little extra this time.
What we will see in the renewed season of the resident?
The resident season 4: After the hard-hit of a novel coronavirus, even season 3 of the resident could not complete its episode so fans were quite worried that whether they will get to see or not more episodes of the resident but they can rejoice. The executive producer of the show Todd Harthan let out in an interview that they are getting too much to focus on the story of season 4 and redesign it by picking up those pieces that have been left in previous seasons. He confessed that he is extremely excited to build the story with something unusual, new, fresh for viewers plus they will put up with those 3 episodes from season 3 and some things will remain the same.
It is anticipated that they will take the real-life COVID crisis into the show to represent the struggles of medical staff during the pandemic which is a very good idea. They will incorporate all the efforts from the beginning of the spread of the infection until the arrival of the vaccine. It will indeed interesting to watch.
