Dororo Season 2 This is a Japanese Dark Fantasy anime series initially written by Osamu Tezuka in 1962. It was later displayed as a series named Dororo, which was written by Yasuko Kobayashi and created under the direction of Kazuhiro Furuhashi. This series was released by MAPPA from January 2019 to June 2019 and comprised of 24 episodes. The story of this series by really appreciated by the viewers, be it of any age. They enjoyed watching season 1 and hence are looking forward to Dororo Season 2.
Below are all the details about Dororo Season 2 starting from the release date to the cast and plot. Caution- spoilers ahead.
Release Date of Dororo Season 2:
No, we are afraid to convey that it is yet to be confirmed by MAPPA or any other products involved in this anime, whether the second season will reach the screens and the fans or not. There is no officially confirmed date for the release of Dororo Season 2, as this anime is yet to be renewed. But the probability of this happening is relatively less.
This series is formed in a book. According to the production, the first season concluded pretty well and covered every portion of the book with no mystery or suspense to be unfolded in the next season. Thus, if they stretch the season, they will have to create an original story displayed in the second season. This isn’t likely to happen, but even if it does, the filming will take a while to complete. Assumingly, 2021 can be a decent year to expect the release of Dororo Season 2.
The Cast of Dororo Season 2:
For any anime, a bunch of good voice artists is equally essential as the script. The voice artists are the only ones who can make an emotional connection with people and can accentuate their interest in the show. Any anime would be incomplete and fail to win the hearts of people if the voice artists don’t make them feel the story themselves. Having said that, if the season gets renewed, then the lead cast or voice artists of Dororo Season 2 shall include-
- Hiroki Suzuki gave voice to Hyakkimaru
- Rio Suzuki gave a voice to Dororo.
- Naoya Uchida gave voice to Kagemitsu Daigo.
- Shoya Chiba gave voice to Tahomaro Daigo.
- Akio Otsuka gave voice to Jukai
- Mutsumi Sasaki gave voice to Biwa Hoshi.
- Nana Mizuki gave voice to Mio.
- Setsuji Sajo gave voice to Itachi No Sago.
The Plot of Dororo Season 2:
This heart-wrenching tale of a boy named Hyakkimaru, who was a victim of his father’s atrocities, has been illustrated phenomenally. His father was a curse as he sold his son to demons to possess enormous power to command his land. His mother, to save him, helped him to escape by setting him in the river. Then he met Jukai-Sensei, who later trained him to be a skilled fighter. He didn’t have any sense of organs but indeed possessed magic and excellent strength.
After a while, he and Dororo were sent to kill all the demons and retain their organs. When he got his sight back, he discovered that Dororo was a girl who was raised as a boy by her parents to make her strong. Then he continued his job and retrieved all his body parts back. Next season, we may see the progress in the romance between Hyakkimaru and Dororo.
But keeping in mind that MAPPA will have to build a new story if the season is renewed, we can anticipate it to show the different life of Hyakkimaru. His journey, his future relationship with Dororo, all this can be explored in season 2. On the contrary, fans are assuming that season 2 may revolve around the life of Dororo and her initial experience as a girl who was brought up like a boy. So the viewers are excited to know what will happen next as this time, anything can happen.
That is all we have for now about Dororo Season 2. We will fill you in with more updates once we get our hands on them. Stay tuned.
