Fabraz: There is a trend nowadays wherein we have seen developers only releasing the games on digital platforms. Limited Run Games are one of those developers. But, we see that the craze for physical copies of the games is not dying. Therefore, we have seen these developers also opting for physical releases and re-releasing older games in physical copies.
We saw that Limited Run Games is helping to bring the 2002 Gameboy title Shantae back to the physical copies. This means that it will include the cartridge which can be used. Recently, the developer announced that it will be bringing another indie title Demon Turf.
What is Demon Turf 3D?
Demon Turf is best described as a 3D platformer that has a cast of characters using the 2D design. It uses an artistic blend of worlds with demons, which offers a humourous environment for the players. Let us talk about the gameplay of the title. It has a physics-based combat system, which gives you the control of the character of Beebz.
The character can use his movements to push, pull, and spin enemies around him. Therefore, it offers an immersive gameplay style unparalleled by other titles. The game was announced by Fabraz during the IGN Summer of the Gaming event.
The Physical Release of the Game
A video was released online which showcased that the game will be getting a physical release. The video showed the main character Beebz during a skit where her friend Midgi says that it sucks that the game will not be getting a physical release. Well, we should clarify that this is no longer the case for Nintendo Release. But, no version of the game has got a physical release date as of now.
The developers have advertised the game as an evolution of Slime-san. But, several people online have compared it with the game known as A Hat in Time. People usually end up comparing such titles and disagreeing upon them. But, one thing is sure that these platformers are bringing GameCube 2D games back into style.
