Mank release date on Netflix

Netflix has not officially confirmed a release date for Mank yet, but we have a pretty good idea when to expect the new movie on Netflix.

According to The Film Stage, co-producer Eric Roth recently revealed that the film is set for an October 2020 release. Seeing as production on the project wrapped in February, expect the movie to drop sometime later this year.

David Fincher is directing and has cast Gary Oldman (Harry Potter, The Dark Knight) as the titular Mankiewicz. Joining Oldman are Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia, Mean Girls) as actress Marion Davies. Tom Burke (The Souvenir) as Orson Welles, Lily Collins (Mirror Mirror), Tuppence Middleton (Sense8). Charles Dance, and Arliss Howard, among an extensive supporting cast.

Mank plot

The plot revolves around Herman J. Mankiewicz. He wrote the screenplay with Orson Welles for Citizen Kane. Around the time of Kane‘s 1941 release.
