Capcom is one of the biggest developers in the gaming industry. It has created some of the best gaming titles of all time. Monster Hunter has acted as a huge success for the developer. It has gained wide popularity over the market of PSP. Then it moved to the market of 3DS and also elicited popularity.
But, after the launch Monster Hunter World, it seems that the developer is going to focus on the console market. But it also poses a question of whether Capcom is going to release something for the handheld market.
Q&A with investors
Although it seems that the focus of the developer is towards the console market currently, they have not shied away from developing handheld titles. This news came out after the company had a Q&A with the investors. They have said that Capcom is indeed going to develop something for handheld devices.
But, here is the catch. They have said this new game is going to focus on the younger audience. They also specifically referred to the high school, both junior and younger students of the same. Later it was clarified that they have no desire to bring the Monster Hunter World to the handheld devices.
Capcom game Cannot be done in Switch
After the Monster Hunter World came out, the company was posed with many questions. The most important of these questions was whether the company was planning to bring this game to the handheld device. They answered that it will not be released for the Nintendo Switch.
They have said that they will be developing a Monster game for the younger audience. Here is the statement was given by the company to further put a silence to any doubts. “Currently, we are not planning to deploy Monster Hunter World on the Nintendo Switch,” the company said. “We are planning to develop a Monster Hunter that can be enjoyed by junior and senior high school students, and look forward to future developments.”
So, if they have said it in a public forum, it means that they are going to do it. It seems that there is good news for our younger audience.
