Sequel to The Last of Us and Ghost of Tsushima were delayed for their launches in the present month. Both the games are developed by 2 different teams which are Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch respectively. Both the teams are from the house of Sony
However, Sony has finally announced the launch date for these titles. The Last of Us: Part 2 has been scheduled to launch on the 19th of June and will be followed by the launch of Ghost of Tsushima on 17th of July.
In a post by Hermen Hulst (Head Sony Worldwide Studios), he says: –
“I want to personally congratulate and thank both the teams at Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch Productions on their achievements, as we know it’s not an easy feat to reach the finish line under these circumstances,”
He added: –
“Both teams have worked hard to deliver world-class experiences, and we can’t wait to see what you think of them when they release in just a few short months.”
Last Sunday, Prior to The Last of Us 2’s release, some gameplay videos were leaked out . These videos were a compilation of gameplay as well as multiple cut scenes. However we would recommend fans to stay away from such clips if they want to avoid some serious spoilers.
The Last of Us part 2’s creator studio the Naughty dog Expressed their sorrow on their official twitter handle. The post said: –
“We know the last few days have been incredibly difficult for you. We feel the same,” the developer tweeted. “It’s disappointing to see the release and sharing of pre-release footage from development. Do your best to avoid spoilers and we ask that you don’t spoil it for others. The Last of Us Part II will be in your hands soon. No matter what you see and hear, the final experience will be worth it.”
We as a part of the gaming community should support the studio’s Hard work by ignoring the video leaks and wishing for the game’s success on the 19th of June.
