Humble Bundle: It is great to watch all the great games comes together in the time of need. Most of your general gaming companies have proceeded to donate towards the cause and help our warriors on the frontline.
Humble Bundle Fundraising drive:
The HumbleBundle started the Humble Conquer COVID-19 Bundle. This fundraising drive aimed to raise money for charities tackling the continuing coronavirus pandemic.
Humble Bundle has announced the final figure that the fundraiser succeeded to achieve. Humble sold 208,527 bundles, raising a total of $6,565,557. All the people appreciated the movement by the organization and offered whatever little they could. Looks like thing went pretty well for HumbleBundle!
The money will be divided between Direct Relief, International Rescue Committee, Doctors Without Borders, and Partners In Health.
Doctors Without Borders commented on the charity drive:
On behalf of Doctors Without Borders and the people we serve. I want to communicate my deepest gratitude to the Humble community for your generosity. Thanks to you, we will receive close to $1.5M in donations, which will enable our teams to launch emergency programs to help stem the spread of COVID-19 in the hardest-hit communities, care for infected patients, and respond to the pandemic’s outcomes on local health systems. In these challenging times, your support is truly meaningful and will help save the lives of the most vulnerable – from Syria to Nigeria, to Greece, to Italy, and more.
Humble Bundle vs COVID-19
It is not a huge surprise that the bundle managed to raise so much money. The Humble Conquer COVID-19 Bundle highlights some of the most popular and beloved indie games of the past few years.
The charity campaign’s success is good news for world health, but it’s also good for the Humble Bundle. The company has built its reputation on raising money for charity.
These bundles help the company earn goodwill, even though much of its financial success instead comes from its work as an online retailer and publisher. People come for the charity deals, and they stay for the more traditional game sales.
As far as marketing tactics go, there are worse ways to establish a brand online. Humble Bundle has helped raise a lot of money for those in need.
